Crepe Paper Poinsettia's 1470
I'd like to tell you I came up with these cute flowers all on my own but alas I got them from the Queen of Crafts: Martha Stewart. I found this cute Poinsettia wreath on sale and immediately thought the flowers would look great on some scrap pages. There were some instructions that weren't very useful though so I've simplified it a bit.
First of all the kit came with 7 sheets of crepe paper: 6 for the flowers and 1 for the leaves. I've never seen crate paper in sheets like this but you could easily do this with the kind that comes on a roll.
It also came with 2 pattern sheets which I have simplified for you:
I cut out the petals and then layered 3 large and 3 small petals and secured in the middle with a brad thru all the layers.
Then you gently stretch the paper apart to give each of the petals some dimension and a little curve
I added one to my December kit project lo's
And that's it! Easy peasy.
