TallyBoard | Everyday Stuff | Hearing loss
So, we made it through the appointment today. But it was difficult. I guess Victor did not want my sand to take him as he screamed and cried the entire time till I left work and showed up at the appointment. The doctor said they couldn't test his hearing but he had cal,Ed down enough to do the test. He has low frequency hearing loss. It is minor but enough to send him to an ENT. We go next week. However, with his terrible fit, the doctor seemed concerned about his behavior and wants to look into that more. I am hoping he can use the early childhood intervention specialists that work with his speech therapist. I am waiting for them to answer me about this. This is SO not what I wanted to hear.

Oh no. I'm sorry to hear this. But early intervention is the best possible way to go; I'm the student services secretary for our school district and deal with early intervention on a daily basis and it's absolutely the best thing sometimes. I hope things work out for the little guy. ((hugs))
