I don't have kids in sports but I have had literally the ass-craziest month in the history of months. In the past 3 weeks, I have had to deal with: 2 proms 1 water leak in the kitchen = flood Tearing out the carpet in the livingroom due to the water leak No fewer than TEN family gatherings A husband with a head cold A new doggy A daughter with a head cold (see: husband who likes to share) And another water leak, this time in the bathroom I managed to do crop stuff by locking myself in my scrapcave late at night, and posting stuff from work during the day. It was like literally snatching time where I could find it! Lol! BUT. Things are bound to calm down now that all the proms are over, the new dog is settled, the family gatherings are over, and the water leaks are (hopefully) fixed. :o)

Well, long story short, we are officially in the process of adopting our grandchild by my husbands oldest daughter. Realllllly long story.. and it's not in this state, so the process is a little more complicated.

I've been dealing with a flooded basement again. I swear we do something and think its fixed, only to have it flood again a month or two later, and its in my scrap area - so the carpet is wet and I have a hard time getting over there. Now the basement stinks like must - that part sucks. I started to rip the panel off the wall in our spare bedroom yesterday, but then Jeff came home and could barely move. Although I think I *might* have found a crack in our foundation wall where the water *might* be coming in.
Since Jeff seems to be passed out, I might just say screw it all and put on some rain boots and wade my way to my scrap table tonight though. 05/17 at 04:43 pm EDT | reply
