Dear Tally friends,

I'm so sad about the state of Tally. I've been a member here since 2008 and I've always loved the community and support and all the amazing inspiration. But the way it's being neglected by the powers-that-be makes me so sad and, yes, a little bit angry.

It's difficult to pour your heart into something and get very little return. I feel like I've honestly given this little community my very best over the past year and half, with little to no help from the management.

I'm frustrated and becoming bitter at the way things aren't being taken care of, communicated, or handled in any way. The people who SHOULD care most about Tally have abandoned it and I think that's a huge waste. Frankly, I don't like feeling this way, so I'm going to pull the plug.

I know I promised I wouldn't, I know I swore that I'd hold on to my dying breath, but I'm so angry at the way this place has gone downhill. I think the reason it really bothers me is that it was all preventable. Just like I wouldn't keep a friend in my life who makes me feel crappy, I refuse to keep doing this to myself.

oh Kelly - I'm so disappointed.  I wish you'd stay.  I understand what you're saying though.  It's sad.

Isn't there a way we can say "HEY...we want it" if the powers-that-be don't want it? 

Has anyone asked that question?  Has anyone been given an answer to that question?

I don't know what it takes to run a website.  I don't know what it costs.  I have no idea what's involved.  But I'd sure be willing to try.  I love Tally.  FB just doesn't do it for me. 

After seeing the thread on FB and on here, I feel like I need to clarify why I felt the need to do something so drastic as LEAVE TALLY, which has been my ONLY crafty home for the past 5 years.

This has nothing to do with the owner not being involved. It has to do with Pinky never being here. No communication from the owner had nothing whatsoever to do with her checking in every day, or participating in the challenges, or POSTING challenges, for that matter. The owner not being involved had nothing to do with her absence.

We lost the design team because they felt like they weren't getting any support from Pinky. So, even though I wasn't technically ON the design team, I took over many of the duties that a design team normally would, like posting challenges and hosting crops. Again, with no support from Pinky.

I didn't abandoned everyone here because the OWNERS just don't care. I left because even though I love the community here, I felt like nothing short of drastic action was going to call anyone's attention to the fact that the person who SHOULD have been taking care of Tally simply wasn't.

I'm not saying this to attack Pinky. I understand she's busy, but when she realized she couldn't do it anymore, she should have given over some of the duties, instead of abandoning the site and leaving us to fend for ourselves.

It's frustrating to me that it's all being blamed on the owners. The owners were never supposed to be here supporting the site every day. Pinky was.

I was DT here a few months ago and went so far as to organize a crop.  I just felt like everytime I asked a question I either got NO reply or it took FOREVER. 

That is why I left.

oh Kelly!  We love you too!  Everyone has the right to be mad when something they love is being messed with!  

Does this mean you're back?!!

I'm not going to say anything is for sure, but Christine and I are working on it. I'm a BIG communicator, so I'll let you all know what's going on as soon as I know.

I know I have been really hit and miss lately but I still LOVE TALLY!  Would love to see it keep going.  I will be here as much as I possibly can!

I would love to help where I can.  I think I am really bad at creating challenges but will do whatever you want of me.

Must admit tho Kelly . . . I am really glad that you are not leaving for good!  You are my hero, my entertainment and my friend!

I'm glad some of you are stepping up and hoping it all works out. I love stopping in here and seeing everyone's fantastic work.  Hopefully soon, I will have time and the space to create again and will absolutely be using this place as my inspiration!  I miss participating but it just won't work right now with my life as chaotic as it is but soon I will have my own scrap space and hopefully then...I can find the time.
